Rockport Residence

Our clients are avid boaters and purchased the cottage as an on-shore landing for their boating adventures on Penobscot Bay. While at HayRunner, we worked together on reconfiguring and designing the main kitchen + living room and opened up a wall to a smaller den space. In addition, we replaced windows and doors, refinished the floors, and renovated the two bathrooms. We worked with them to build a warm, neutral palette for the interior, incorporating natural materials and finishes to make the small open space feel serene and cohesive. One of the homeowners is an artist and has many of his own paintings and a bronze sculpture in the home. Once these items were brought in, Ashley Wolf at WRKroom Interiors used textiles to reflect some of those deeper blues and warm tones in the soft furnishings.
